We’re not sure what it is, but people in NYC lose their damn minds over “Pop-up shops.” Doesn’t matter if it’s clothes, shoes, music, Japanese origami, etc., New Yorkers love themselves some quality pop-ups. Maybe it’s the illusion of exclusivity or the FOMO factor weighing […]
It’s back, people! Madison Square Eats opens today and will be open daily from 11am to 9pm until May 28th. There are few things we love more than eating great food outside, and we are pretty pumped about some of the new vendors this year including Hill Country BBQ and Gelato ti Amo. We’re also very intrigued by Cheesesteaks by the Truffleist, because we love cheese…and steaks…and truffles. A lot of the heavy hitters like Roberta’s, Red Hook Lobster Pound, and Takumi Taco (all pictured below) will be returning again this year, so you have solid fallback options in case you’re weird and don’t like gelato. We’ll be heavily loitering at #MadSqEats tomorrow while we support #BareFootinthePark, so swing by and say hello. Here’s to the start of another glorious outdoor eating season. Cheers.
As you all may know by now, the #NYCFAT crew does not hesitate when it comes to endorsing a product (typically food) that we completely believe in. Whether it’s a quality lobster roll, or a big ass cookie, we have no shame in blasting out our support.
Welp, this just in: we are super excited to be partnering with our good friends at Gabriele Piasio Studio to help showcase their Spring 2015 Fashion Collection at Barefoot in the Park. Gabriele is an uber-talented NYC artist and creator of all things uniquely beautiful, and she’s ready to show off her work to the great big (and sometimes cruel) world of New York City fashion design.
Come join us on the Center Lawn of Madison Square Park on Saturday, May 2nd for a little fashion, a little food, a little music, and a whole lot of fun. We’ll be there hanging with old and new friends, getting our #NYCFAT on, and admiring the clothes we will soon not be able to afford (because they are awesome, not because we are poor…which we are). Come find us and say hello. Bring a friend. See you there.

We’re back with another rendition of “Drink Bai,” because we really dig the product, and the folks we’ve met at Bai are just good people. We hit you with a Bai cocktail last time, but now we’re coming at you with a smoothie that is perfect for these (hopefully coming soon) warm spring days. We used the Guatemala Guava Bai Bubbles since that’s what we thought would go best with our fruit ingredients, but you can really go nuts in terms of which Bai you choose.
1/2 a can of Guatemala Guava Bai Bubbles
3 Large Slices of Mango
3 Large Slices of Pineapple
Blend until smooth…like a smoothie.
