Attention, people of the greatest city on Earth (that’s you, NYC), our beloved Smorgasburg is officially open for the season. We’re pretty pumped about the new vendors that have been added to supplement the solid cast of characters returning from last year like Red Hook Lobster Pound and The Good Batch. We are big fans of the ‘Burg, and pretty much any other outdoor market where we can eat a combo of lobster rolls, beef jerky, doughnuts, ice cream, and beer in one sitting. We plan on making a few extra trips to Smorgasburg this year, and will start highlighting some of our favorite #NYCFAT eats. This past weekend we got down with some Japanese chicken Scotch eggs, fried anchovies, balls of mozz, and some killer buffalo wings from Dan and John’s Wings.
These Buffalo natives are cranking out the classics inspired by their favorite spots from where they grew up. We crushed the new boneless Inferno wings and the crispy Spicy BBQ (featured above), but you really can’t go wrong with anything Dan and John’s has to offer. Check them out at Smorgasburg both Saturday and Sunday all summer, and maybe bring some extra wet-naps.
